Notes |
Originally completed in 1982 with receipts totaling $13,000.00 1979 to 1982 dollars. I traded a SCCA record holding Starion showroom stock class race car for Manta in 1987. Car had 2100 miles on it, Has approximately 3500 miles now. A blast to drive. Am in the process of re-constructing shift linkage to tighten it up. Built by Ed Hobbs, a diesel mechanic, to a very servicable standard. No substantial changes since. Have repainted the car Mclaren Orange with silver side pods and added a snorkel type hood scoop over the carbureator. While body was being painted windshield was cracked. Sent $500 to Kneeland who claimed to have windshield to send. Money lost, no windshield ever delivered. After approximately 5 years got windshield from Warp 5. Great guys. Currently working on developing an adjustable tab type rear spoiler like early Mark 6 and Mark 8 McLaren's had.
