Should have it on the street by the end of summer.
Nov 2010 - Just got the engine running crisp and sweet this weekend. Everything looks good, ran the engine for the first twenty minutes at a steady 2000 RPM with special break in oil as recommended by the builder. Temps ran at speed in the 180 to 190 range with a 180 T-stat. At idle temps ran in the 145 150 range. All this and in reverse rotation at that.
Feb 2001 - The condition that I received the vehicle in was as follows, broken windshield, stripped ring and pinion, spun bearings in motor, wiring undone, no
door latches, no deck lid latches, and more yet to discover. Engine did start and sounds healthy. Don't know how to determine the displacement of the Chevy sb. Looks like a money pit right now. |
