Notes |
The car has been sitting in storage for 17 years and is now back on the road again. Gary runs an 1835cc engine with dual Weber carbs and a Baja bug quiet exhaust. Tires are G60 Firestones on the front and P295-H60 BF Goodrich in the rear. Inside the car he has a complete VDO aircraft style guage cluster, Grant steering wheel, dropped seat pans with short back racing seats, and an AM/FM cassette with equalizer/booster.
Last I heard from Gary, he was trying to get the car through California inspections. Aside from their tough smog restrictions, they also have silly laws regarding such things as writing on your tail-lights. Apparently, if your tail-lights have any writing visible on them, it must be correctly oriented. (The Monza tail-lights are mounted upside down and on the opposite sides.) Only in California! |
