To seal the body to make it water tight is a good practice. We suggest using metal or rubber (i.e. old inner-tubes) or sheet fiberglass along with silicone caulking for sealing. Areas that should be sealed are as follows:

1. At both ends of the console tunnel because of heat from the radiator in the front and the engine in the rear.

Make cardboard templates and transfer to any of the above materials and attach into place.

2. Seal around the front roll bar support tubes and steering column at the front firewall.

3. Seal the opening on the front of the side pods near the front lower control arm mounting position.

4. Seal the side pod to the chassis on the outside of the frame with silicone caulking.

5. Seal all body seams on the inner wheel wells in nose cab section to side pods seams and the body seams forward and rearward of the doors.

6. Seal the front firewall to the floor pan on the seam.

This should complete the sealing on the body.
